Everyone uses a computer every day for one reason or another. Whether you check emails, work or browse for clothes, we all take the time to use our devices now and again. This is why today we want to look at some clever little life hacks which everyone should know if they use a computer day by day.
These tips are for simple everyday problems and it means that we don’t all need an IT Budget and Roadmap to figure out what to do with our machines.
Task manager
If you ever have an issue with a frozen screen on your computer, it can feel like a dead end. Luckily There’s a program called task manager which you can use to close down programs which are not responding. To open this feature press Ctrl + Shift + Esc.
Minimize inactive windows
If you have a lot of windows open on your computer, which is very likely if you work in an office; there is a simple way to minimize anything which you aren’t currently using. All you need to do is grab your current window and shake it, and all of the others will go away.

When you are dealing with an issue or carrying out a process on your computer you might want to capture the steps that you took so that you can use them again later. To do this all you need to do is search psr in the windows menu to open problem steps recorder.

One of the things you might want to do when browsing online is take a picture of what you are looking at to send to a friend or colleague. Instead of opening the snipping tool and messing around selecting the screen, all you need to do is press Alt + Print Screen.
Deleting one word at a time
If you want to delete some content on a document and you don’t want it to take too long, you can delete whole words instead of deleting things one letter at a time. To do this all you have to press is Ctrl + Backspace and your writing will be much easier
Open applications on the taskbar
When you have a lot of applications saved to your taskbar, it can take a while to find exactly what you want to open. This is why it is a great idea for you to use the windows key + sequence number to open your applications right away. For example if you have google chrome, word, excel and you want to open word: press windows key + 2.
Paste without formatting
There will be times when copying and pasting a document where all you want is the text and not the images or formatting. You can do this with the click of a button by pressing Ctrl + V.
Select a whole document
If you have a large book or essay and you want to select the whole text, it can take forever to scroll all the way through and select every bit of text. The good news is that you can select a whole document easily by simply pressing Ctrl + A.
Rename a file
Sometimes the name you choose for a file isn’t quite what you wanted, and you can change this within seconds by pressing F2 to rename it.
